The village of Kings Norton is a small village in rural East-Leicestershire. Although the village has only around 30 houses, it creates a situation in which there is a strong sense of community and a very close-knit population.
The village is of ancient origin, recorded in the Doomesday Book. It has always been around its present size but until recently relied strongly on agriculture. In the past century, the five farms on Kings Norton have sold out, now leaving only the one remaining.
The church of St John the Baptist has always been, and is still, the focal point of the village.
