Heard this on the radio today and I really liked it. Frankly, I didn’t get the song at first, but, well, you know from the title what it is now! Anyway, have a listen if you fancy, I got this track from Sterogum but you can get the track or album from Amazon.
Found this website today with all the iPad hype, and I love the design. The colours, the hover, the simplicity, it all comes together to form such a nice site. Really very good.
I’m thinking it is about time for a new design adjustment. A major redesign might be a big challenge, and frankly, I’ve got better things to be doing! However, a new header is certainly on the cards. Here’s what I’m thinking this evening…
I tried to do this this afternoon, and as before, I found something really annoying happening. It created all sorts of error messages after the initial upload of files.
1. Open “/mu/wp-blog-header.php”
2. Locate line 9: if ( !file_exists( dirname(__FILE__) . '/wp-config.php')
&& !file_exists( dirname( dirname(__FILE__) ) . '/wp-config.php')) {
3. Edit this line to be: if ( !file_exists( dirname(__FILE__) . '/wp-config.php') ) {
Hope this is useful sometime, I know it will be to me!
This website was in the Guardian today, and it is an open source project which, using some data from the Royal Mail aims to show where every postbox in the UK is, but it needs users to locate them on a map.
Its quite good, and I think its a very good idea, so go and add the postboxes near you! Visit http://www.dracos.co.uk/play/locating-postboxes/ and its all free and easy and it might be really useful to you one-day!
My parents computer has for a while had an error where it will not show the CD Drive in My Computer, and therefore will not read or burn any CDs or DVDs.
This morning, however, I had to install a new printer for them, complete with CD – so the problem needed solving. This website provided me with the answer, so its worth a link to show everyone else who has the problem what to do.
This afternoon I have installed the Yourlsplugin for WordPress. It creates a short URL service (like tinyurl.com or bit.ly) from your own domain, so mine will be http://robparker.org.uk/l/(characters)
The l stands for link by the way! You can see more and even try out the service by visiting robparker.org.uk/l
The plugin takes your posts and publishes them to Twitter immediately, which is frankly the only place they are published too anyway. Its good and I like it, and I hope you enjoy it!
This is a great little plugin that adds a message to each post instructing the user to subscribe to an RSS feed, follow, friend or bookmark the site. It is so easy to use and to install and it is just another tool to get repeat subscribers and to help push up awareness of your site and to build links.
I would really recommend it and I hope you go and try it out!
